How To Point A Domain Name To Another Provider’s Domain Name Server (DNS) In Network Solutions

Note: You will need the two new DNS server names from your hosting company or ISP before beginning the process below:
1. Log in to Account Manager
2. Select the domain name you want to manage from the drop down in the "My Domains" section
3. In the "Domain Currently Points to" section, select "Edit"
4. After reading the warning, select the "Move DNS" button
5. In the textboxes type established name servers or select from a list of existing name servers - you can add up to 13 name servers by clicking on the Add More Name Servers button, then when finished click on the Continue button
Please Note When you select a Network Solutions name server, all name servers will be Network Solutions hosted.
You can only create new name servers that contain the domain name that you manage. For example, to create a new name server for the domain name janesbagels.com, enter NS1.janesbagels.com and NS2.janesbagels.com.
6. To confirm your DNS changes:

• If you designated an existing name server, click on the Continue button, and then click on the Save DNS button
• If you added a new name server, enter the name server IP address, click on the Continue button, and then click on the Save DNS button

7. To make edits to the IP address at a later time, click on the Manage Host Servers button in the left navigation bar of Account Manager

DNS server changes may take 24 - 36 hours to update or propagate throughout the Internet.
